What does IT support cost in the Lafayette area?

Published rates for remote and on-site help, why hourly is cheaper than a surprise visit, and what drives the price of a repair.

Price is the first thing people search for and the first thing they should ask about. Here is what support actually costs in Lafayette and Acadiana, and why the number varies.

Published one-time rates
- Remote help: $89/hour with a 30-minute minimum
- On-site help: $125 for the first hour, then $95 per additional hour
- Travel is confirmed before we drive out, so there is never a surprise mileage charge
- Device diagnostics: $49, credited once toward approved repair labor on the same device
- New computer setup: $149 for one computer, up to two labor hours

Why remote is cheaper than on-site
Most problems are solved without anyone driving anywhere. A slow computer, an update that failed, an email account locked out, a printer that will not print, or unwanted software can usually be handled in a remote session for less than an on-site visit. On-site work earns its cost when the problem is physical: a failing drive, a bad power supply, a screen, or a hardware installation.

What drives the price of a repair
- How long the fault has been developing
- Whether parts are available and whether third-party vendors are involved
- Whether the device is worth repairing compared to replacement
- We quote labor in writing before work starts, and we do not proceed without your approval

What is not in the price
- Parts, licenses, and subscriptions: you buy those directly in your own accounts
- Projects, after-hours work, and specialist referrals are quoted separately
